Compassion

What compassionate and heart-warming people sin__poreans are.

not meaning to discrimate or verbally abuse people but,
come on.. how hard is it to take just a small step to help and lend aid to those who needs?
come on.. how hard is it to to just help instead or pointing the finger? worse yet, turning an eye away is just an act of cowardice. not wanting to help is the same as killing the needy ones.

let me explain.

first of, from personal experience.
ever been in a tight situation where everyone just plainly watch and comment yet noone lend their helping hands?
well imagine this, getting caught between the bus door and frame and REPEATEDLY slamming it against the head's of a kid. note this. it is a KID.
why? how nice of them to be going..

'Hey hey, look, he's bleeding.'
'o yea, he is.'

the pillars to the future of sin__pore.
the lack of initiative, motivation, compassion and above all else, integrity and pride.
how amazing the world will be when these 'Pillars of the future' take the world by STORM. (literally storm - THUNDER STORM)
having the lack of more than just the upbringing and pampering of parents, these pillars have taken for granted the peaceful and simple life of their education and support of the government to the extend that the HIGHER EDUCATED students a.k.a CATHO__C HIGH students fail to even help the KID when trapped in a situation of helplessness and pity.

much more examples to go such as simple tasks such as ledning a hand to carry some books or heavy things from people that you can OBVIOUSLY see that they need it. but some just oblivionly just ignore! even if they dont need it, a simple question like, 'can i get that for you?' will surely brighten his day. how difficult is it?

sure as hell people say that being nice will be taken for granted by,
but think about it this way.
what's worse is taking into heart that life is to be mean.
reasons are simple.

1) being mean causes negativities. it is proven scientifically that it uses MUCH MORE muscles to frown den to smile. further, it is also proven scientifically that cheerful and optimistic people have the tendency to allow blood circulation better and healthier lifestyle resulting in a longer life and better immunity system towards diseases and illnesses. thus, why risk to shorten your life by fretting and worrying over unnecessary things and causing frownings and sadness.

yet also, proven AGAIN by scientific evidence that sadness and tears from overwhelming grief and sorrow causes muscles in the eyes to go beyond their limits resulting in a risk of eye injury and death of eye cells causing a greater cahnce to have weakened eyesight.

thus, being mean will make someone DIE early because you caused a degree of influence towards their emotions and well, if you are mean in a consistent manner, time to be reflecting yourself my friend. by causing grief, you give yourself grief as well. as well, re-read this paragraph will ya?

2) giving is living

Our attitude toward life determines life's attitude towards us.
-Earl Nightwood

Our character is what we do when we think no one is looking.
-many people

Blessed are those who can give without remembering and take without forgetting.
-Princess Diana

well, our attitude in life forms our character. when you help, you receive help when needed.
by giving help, you feel good. by lending a helping hand, you become 'nice'
NICE may be an overly used word that ahs lost its meaning but, being nice is simply put,
-the act of charity and goodwill-
kindness begets kindness. true enough when you give help, the degree of acceptance is received by individuals be it big or small and they will surely and definitely remember it. whether they return the favour depends entirely on the degre they accept the help and the extend of help given. but think about again. what bad can be caused for making more goodness around? rather than fear and worry over the lies and dark truth that cannot be revealed cause of harms did, going an extra mile by helping and actually being there brings in much more smiles than you could expect.

3) life is a journey not a consequence.

One man can make a difference
-spiderman
(awesome movie btw.)

Happiness is not a reward - its a consequence.
Suffering is not a punishment - it is a result.

life is a journey. the mistakes you make, the choices you choose, the paths you take,
they are all the journey at work. life is the biggest opportunity to make a difference. to make it matter. once in this lifetime, you can be who you want to be, dare to take the step, dare to make the risk.

thus, what's most important in this journey is the discipline.
the discipline to act, to control and to take pride.
you must have the initiative to work, to ability to take challenges and make sacrifices and the control of what to do and what not to. and above all, take pride of your achievements, be it failure or success, this journey is yet to end so soon.

if being mean is what you think you should do to keep out of trouble, you have just lost half the journey. the journey to a better being, the journey to something higher and betterthan what you thought you could be.

thus, my question post to my dear readers is this..
have you made a difference?
do you have the compassion and hand to lend?
are you gonna be special?

if so, congrats. you are on the journey to a greater place.
if not, not too late to think about it now. life is not short. but, its not that long either. make the best out of it.
